Jean and I hiked this short 4.0 mile trail to Middle Pyramid peak in late July. It is steep, though, 1800 ft in two miles. The
snow was hanging on late this year and we were stopped from getting to
the summit by a snow field that neither of us wanted to attempt. It
was a pretty hike, short and sweet. We will have to try it again in the spring when the beargrass and rhododendrons are blooming!
