Little North Santiam 2 Oct 2015

Hiked the Little North Santiam - hoping for some red vine maples. Actually the colors were just beginning. I had clouds for the first half of the hike, but the sun came out at Three Pools. The water was so low, I was able to explore all around that area. Could have crossed the river if I had wanted to. There was a group on the opposite bank, but otherwise I didn't see any other people. In a few weeks, it will be very colorful!

The hike from the TH to Three Pools is about 7 mi RT with 1800 ft gain (both directions you go up then down again)
