Spontaneous trip to the coast on a sunny winter day. Lots of people had the same idea but we were in the middle of the hikers and pretty much had the tip of Cape Lookout to ourselves. This is an easy hike but hard to navigate the roots and mud and water. But it has pretty coast views looking south for a lot of the trail. We enjoyed the day viewing the ocean and getting some sun. Stopped a few other places on the way home too.
